Congratulations to Amy Wright, the ward sister at Buckingham Hospital, on receiving a well-deserved Care Award from Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. The Care Awards recognise individuals and teams who go to extraordinary lengths to deliver the Trust’s CARE values (Collaborate, Aspire, Respect and Enable) – ensuring patients receive safe and compassionate care, every time. Certainly Amy is making a big difference at the Hospital.
The League of Friends is currently discussing how the service of the Hospital staff over the years in whatever capacity can be properly recognised and recorded for posterity. One example of exemplary service is Dr John Bostock, pictured front row second from left in this photograph from the early 1950s. Dr Bostock was involved with the Hospital from 1929 until 1973 and was its Medical Officer for most of that time.
