At the ‘Celebrate Buckingham Day’ on 3 September 2021, the President of the League of Friends, Dr Roger Harrington, became a Friend of Buckingham, a civic award for his ‘exceptional and outstanding contribution to the local community’. It was fitting recognition of all Dr Harrington’s work with the Buckingham Almshouses and Welfare Charity and the Buckingham Hospital League of Friends.
